Earth Strap

Hello all !

 Been playing under my bonnet this afternoon, and was wondering about earth straps? I`ve found and cleaned the lugs of the one that`s located at the rear-right side of the rocker cover; that goes to the coil.
 
 I`m wondering if there are any more? Or a "main" earth strap? Perhaps from the engine or something? As surely there must be more than just the tiddler on the rocker cover?  :dontknow:

Follow the thick cable from the battery ?ve. It goes to the chassis leg and then to the gear box mounting. Other ones are;

A ?rosette? near the fuse box
Left hand corner of boot under carpet/mat
Bottom of steering column/steering rack, unfortunately outside under the car.

hi make sure that you make good connection when recon your earth straps  

Ah thought there was more to it than that!  

 I will track these other ones down to, give `em a good scrub and tighten them back to the chassis.

Look out for that brown wire to the rear of the rocker cover.  If that falls off, lots of things in the dashboard won't work!  Includes trip computer.

Jeez what a job trying to remove the one in the boot!

 They`d all corroded together. So i snipped `em ,and made an extension that i`ve grounded on the rear light bolt.
 Still hasn`t made me reverse lights work though! I was way too optimistic….
