Dashboard Electrics

Evening,

I need some advice.  Whenever i switch on my headlights\side lights the whole dash turns off until the lights are switched off.  Then everything has reset, clock etc.

Any ideas whats wrong?

Do your clocks also play up when up turn the ignition on or is it just the electrical side? I'd check the brown earth lead on the rocker cover - it should be on the rear right stud as up look at the engine. If it's not there, it could have snapped off, been missed when replacing the cover etc.

That lead causes loads of problems if it's not connected.
