dash

hi i have already asked about this problem and have checked the switch now and thats fine??? but when i turn the lights on, i loose all my dash!! well the rev works just on sidelights but nothing on dipped or main, also when i flash my lights nothing happens but when switching from dipped to main it works.  i have checked the earth to the rocker covernas well, can anyone tell me where to find other earths that could do this. if it sounds like something other than earth could you also let me know thanks scott

Hi Scott this has been answered loads of times, use the search function above and you'll get the answer quicker.

Anyway, if you stand in front of your car with the bonnet open on the rear passenger side corner of the rocker cover there should be a wire (usually brown) that attaches to the corner nut.  This is a fuse for the dash and runs the rev counter.  Re-connect this wire (it will probably be hanging down the back of the  engine) and all will work.

If you can't find the wire then there is a wiring diagram for how to create a new fuse wire somewhere in the search.

yea i have already checked the wire that conects from the bulkhead to the rocker cover and cleaned and re conected it, im after more ideas of other earths as i was told to check the switch and the earth lead before thanks

anymore ideas to why the dash doesnt work when i put my lights on its got to be a earth somewhere i have checked the lead from the bulkhead to the rocker cover and also checked the light switch is there anymore earths that could be a problem???
