Cutting speakers for door?
Wasn't quite sure where to post this but,
what is the best thing to do about speakers in a mk1? obviously the stock speakers will not suffice for any great magnitude of volume… so is it best to cut into the door card and put speakers in that way? any thing to watch out for, or any advice from anyone who has installed speakers? obviously 6x9's can be fitted to the rear shelf with no hassle!
Cheers for any help
Max (will get some pics of my car up as soon as I have time in the daylight to get some!)

I wanted to avoid making holes in shelf etc so kept with the standard size and have four 6x4's in my tintop. I'm more than happy with these…

Great price too as I've seen them for ?49.99 at Halfords

awesome, only thing is that the drivers side pice of trim (dont know what to call it, its the bit with the speaker in it…), has broken off, came like that, i still have it though, so theres no place to put the speaker, unless some one can find me that bit of trim too…!
I am a bit of an audiophile… not sure on keeping to those smaller speakers… I like my bass to come through real nice, not in a chav style way, but just not sure 6x4's will produce enough bass…

Yes, it's for a pair though their flat rate P&P is ?10. But, I got 2 pairs and still paid ?10, which was more reasonable.
