customise the mk1 instrument cluster

Howsit guys I have a golf 1 2door with the instument cluster that has the rev counter and speedo and I would like to customise it to make it look good because for me it is not working
Is there anybody who can help me with some information on how to do it because I havnt a clue

I've changed mine over the years, but you've got to be careful though. Those clock are pretty delicate being as they're 20+ years old.

First time I changed them:

In the end the rev counter packed up in them so I bought a set off ebay that were like this:


And turned them back in to this:

I made them myself, it pretty easy to take the cluster apart. And if you're any good on Photoshop or something, you can just print off sme covers and stick the over the top of your original dials. I took the needles off and made some new faces on my laser cutter at work, but I wouldn't recommend this as it's hard to get the needles back on in the right place. I can email you some templates if you want?
