Coil pack for 1.8t MS setup

Got given a Delphi pencil type coilpack with lead from a vauxhall astra, how can i tell if its wasted spark or not? Its got a 4 pin plug.  :dontknow:

Have a search online to find out or phone a Vauxhall dealer or something.

You can use what ever coil pack you like on the conversion, but I would use one that someone else has used before, that way you won't have to mess about working out which wires fire which bank.

I used a pug sagem coil pack, (apparnetly these arn't the best to use tho). The ford coil pack route is well documented too.
