clock /rev counter

my clock /rev counter is doing wot it feels like doing lights coming on wenthey should not needle on rev counter doing the same .i think it may be a bad earth but not sure is this a common fault   thanks pete

I had the same issue over the weekend. I removed all instrument switches, clocks and dash insert. Checked the two wiring looms which plug into the clocks. You have one small one which plugs into the left hand side of the clocks which controls your MFA and one longer one which plugs into the right hand side of your clocks. The small brown wire within these looms is the earth wire, mine was loose so I pulled the cable out and pushed the metal prongs up and cleaned the connections on the back of the clocks. I did the same with all connections and wires in the loom. Now I have all lights working MFA rev counter etc…
