Car wouldnt start

We had some really bad rain in Dundee last night (whats new eh   ) and this morning my car wouldnt start. Put key in ignition and turned until fuel pump was primed and buzzing, turned the key again and……… nothing  :banghead:

Just a click from the relay/fuse board area, then nowt. I tried to start the car and again nothing…. I put my hand down in beside the relays and just gave everything a general hit, and hey presto, next turn of the key she fired.

Same thing happened once i got to work, this time i actually wiggled the relay board slightly and again she fired up.

Any ideas on whats causing this, im supposed to be fitting my inlet manifold, audi TB and 4 branch this afternoon. They are going to be useless if i cant get my car to start

I'd check the fuel pump relay and the pins where it plugs into, maybe a bit of corrosion in there.

Should be No 2.

wont be the pump relay if engine wasnt turning over, sounds liek the fuseboard has a loose plug round the back. follow ign switch wires as far as you can and see if there are any breaks in the wiring. drop fusebox down and have a good look back there, plus check for any dodgy looking earths
