car wont run right

1988 mk1 golf cabby car wont run had new dizzy injectore fuel pump rota arm and still the same please help also cant get the roof down ????

have you checked for a rusty fuel filler pipe,hows the flange gasket which joins the carb to the manifold,seems those 2 things are one of the most common faults on the mk1 which cause cutting out either due to water/rust crud getting into the fuel ,or too much air getting in due to the manifold gasket being worn and split.

is the hood electric?

do you know that you also have to make sure the key is in the ignition if its electric.

could be several things also have a look at your fuse box for any corrosion

if your not familiar with car electrics sometimes its best to just goto an auto electrician

remeber that most faults electical are usually down to a bad earth
