CAN ANYONE HELP???? REAR TAIL LIGHTS WONT GO OFF!!!!

my rear tail lights will not turn off?????
whats that all about!!!!

they've only just done it today does anyone know why ????

Mine does that sometimes. I have to push the brake peddle a few times to turn it off.

its the break pedal switch at fault, i had it on my mk2 it drove me crazy i resulted to taking battery off for a few days, 2 i relised it was a the switch, my m8 had same problem in his mk3 till i told him what it was simple fix just duck under the drivers side dash find the switch and reset its postion

thought it would be something silly like that!!!!
its never done it before, but i had to brake real hard yesterday, and since then they've just stayed on, this was just after i took it for its m.o.t  LOL
its not the brake lights that are on though?????
its the tail lights as if the main lights are on????? when i switch the main lights on they stay on, but will not turn off!!!!!

Check they're is a Stop/Tail bulb (in both) and not just a single bulb, you can tell because the stop/tail will have 2 points on it, compared to the normal 1 (not including the case which is the GND)

If you've been to Halfords, they're buggerz for doing that.  :wink:
