Cabby -tinny sound

Hi,
Got a cabby and just fiited some new Kenwood speakers in the front door pockets as the original ones sounded poo- they weren't cheap.

The speakers sounded dogs daggly bits in the car audio shop. I fit them in the car, they sound just as tinny as the previous old speakers that were already fitted.

The head unit is a high end Alpine MP3 unit.

I know the head uit is performing ok as I had it in my classic mini before I changed to the golf scene, and the sound was tops, clear, rich and deep.

Whats goin on with the audio, am I destined to terrible audio, or is there something I can do differently, using the gear I've already got. Not bothered about being loud, just want rich sound, not fitted the rear door card speakers yet, need to get front sorted 1st

cheers

The MK! id not good for sound mate, simple as that. I've upgraded my front, back and put a small Sub in the boot and it's still not brilliant.

new cables for a start. and the fact the speakers are in plastic door pockets as opposed to a fix platform wont help either. not to mention the destortion from the door itself.
