Bridged rad switch use

I've bridged the rad switch to see if this is the reason my fan not kicking in when hot, fan works fine.

I would like to use the car before I have it swapped but is it safe to drive with a bridged switch or is it a big nono for fire starting reasons etc??

Sounds like thermo switch then I had same problem. If your gunna bridge it wouldn't it be better wire it to a switch inside car like rear heater? Then when it gets hot switch on? That's what I'd look to do.

It's literally for one journey, about 100 miles and then I'm away for 2 weeks and it'll be fitted with new rad switch and few other service bits. Its just I can't get it done before the journey

you wont need the fan unless you get stuck in traffic for long periods of time, not a good idea to just leave the fan running constant things could get a bit toasty. worst case if you're going to be sat for a while just switch the engien off! keep an eye on the coolant gauge if it creeps to 3/4 jump out and bridge the fan wires
