Brake lights dim
hello all, i own an `82 mk1 golf and have jus failed my mot on the brake lights, when the lights are on and u press brake pedal you hardly see any change in the brightness of the light as it should. I am pretty sure it is an earthing problem because when all lights are off and i press brake pedal the front sidelight comes on, i have dismounted the fusebox to check its all clean and no water gettin to it at all and it looks all fine and clear so am now starting to run out of things to check, another thing is on the fuseboard the 10amp fuse that goes in the slot marked Blinklicht 4th from the right, keeps popping if i put new 1 in when the ignition is turned. I wonder has any 1 had similar problems and if any 1 may possibly be able to help me out and point me possibly in the right direction as to what my problem could be? Any help greatly appreciated as i have 10 days to take it back for re-test.
