blocking off wires safely

my 16v mk1 seems to have many wires just left snipped or partially taped up, is there something i can use clip over the ends of unusued wires, or is it just a case of wrapping a bit of electricians tape around it? just trying to keep it as tidy as i can so i can understand it better  

A bit of heat shrink always looks neat IMO

as above, or loop the end and wrap tape round it. ifyou just put tape on the end it can easily pull off. the neatest way is to trace it all the way back to where it comes from and cut it out complete, but this isnt always doable

You Used jumper cables to start the vehicle with a dead battery. The cables are connected to the dead battery and a fully charged battery in another vehicle.
