Ambient Temprerature Sensor?

Hi,

Does anyone know how the MFA gets its reading for the ambient temperature.

Mine Doesnt work, everything else is fine.

Is there a sensor, and if so where is it located?

It should be inside the front bumper on the offside, beside the front R/H indicator.

Just had a look, mines missing. How much can i get one of these for?

Do GSF or ECP do them or is it only through VAG Dealers?

Not sure if they are are a VAG-only part, but I suspect so - GSF etc mainly concentrate on the fast-moving parts like larger electrical items, panels, consumables, and some engine parts.

There's not enough ?? in (most) trim and specialised bits for them to bother…
