alternator trouble

all fixed it took  me about bloody 2 hours though the prob was the
earth wire from the alternator it wasnt cut of anything just gone all black
put a new wire in and hay presto it all works

It is known as "black wire syndrome"…..althought I don't really know what causes it but its a bl**dy pain with the Nicad batteries in my Model Airyplanes (& my Riley Elf)….can be expensive if I don't keep an eye on it.

I thought it was somewhat cured by the "Negative Earth" design of later years (ELfie is +ve earth) but I guess the syndrome has simply switched to affecting the earth wires instead of the feed wires.
