Settling In
All day and no joy
I have tried a new switch?? could i be unlucky and have two duff switches??? The 1 i bought was off ebay second hand but assured it worked.
Also rocker cover earth
Today i tried all again and tried to get clocks out but couldnt manage to get them out ??? is there anymore ideas to try
Thanks again i have searched the forum but most say to try what has already been done cheers for the help

The clocks aren't too hard to remove. You remove the dash insert by pulling off the heater levers, trim clips which hide the screws, then unscrew and remove it. Then the clocks are held with a couple of screws at the top and undo the speedo cable and electrical connector.

Have you undone its screws and disconnected the speedo cable and 1 or 2 plugs at the back?

Electrically speaking it sounds like a short.
Oh also check you've put the stop & tail bulbs in correctly…
If your revs are dropping its doing something to the other 12v lines for sure, possibly feeding back through the dash, could be a short on the ignition switch even….
Checking earths is good practice with all electrical faults, they are notoriously inadequate on a lot of cars.
Next up would be isolating the dash by removing the plugs, you can try that 1st if you like…..upto you
Thats all I can think of about now….
