abf ignition wirring what do i need

I'm a bit confused on what i should do with the coil, spark side of things.i have put an abf in a 8v gti its all in a turning over just need to sort out a spark can any one tell me what i should be using and what i need its still the,original gti fuse box  and its running on carbs so no need for ecu  thanks PS i am  wirring idiot  :dontknow:  :dontknow:  :dontknow:

you need a kr dizzy, ecu and loom. plug it in the same way the old mk1 ignition system came off, its all in the bay. you will need to change the coil if its a points ignition car, or if the coil is early type without a pin in the hole. the 16v leads need alter mk2 coil with the pin in the hole. if you loo in the dizzy cap lead holes and compare to coil hole, you'll see what i mean.

also if it was a points ign car you will have to add a new ign live feed to power the coil, the pooints ign system uses a resistance wire to lower the voltage which is no good for electronic ignition. oh and you'll need a tci unit too ifg it was points, its above the ecu on a mk2 and in the scuttle in a mk1
