99MPG ! ! ! ! ! how do i calibrate this ?

everything works!

even all my dash lights - which has taken a little time

but the mfa tells me im doing 99 MPG, and after 2 months of owning the car, im starting to think this isnt correct

is there anyway to correct this, or calibrate the mfa?

where does the mfa get the fuel consumption from ?

MPG gets its info from the vacuum at the rear of the instrument panel . It gets it feed from the top of the rocker cover near the servo feed vacuum pipe . Mine does the same as yours so i don't use it , the technology is very old expensive to repair and inaccurate . I just use the oil temp , time , outside temp and miles on my MFA .


If you do a search on the site you will find how to replace the vacuum unit at the rear of the panel , but you need to find one first  8O

My MFA all works but I get 99.9 after looking behind dash I have now found the vacuum pipe hanging loose,I think it was pulled off when the car was fitted with a new class 1 alarm.

when I get the time will pull out dash clocks and reconnect.

thats what i thought , but the vacuum pipe is connected ok, which i assume is working ok, because the gear change light works ok, so is it just really innaccurate ?

ive recently replaced the dashboard, so i refitted the one vacuum pipe when i did this

Mine mpg just keeps going up and now my gear light flikers when I change in to 5th :/ any idears
