8v wiring loom same as 16v ????

I'm assuming not, but can any experienced dubber inform the facts.

I've just bought a 8v engined car and want to put in my uprated 16v and was wondering would the existing wiring loom be suitable ???

do you have the later fusebox? and a pre 90 spec 16v loom? if the answer to both of these are yes then the anser is yes they will plug and play altho you will have to extend a few wires and shorten others in the bay

The car has an 82 8v loom, and I'm obviously looking to transplant a 16v lump into it, do I therefore need to change the loom?
