3 problems with my clocks? can you help ?

1st problem the buzzer in the clocks starts buzzing after twenty mins at 3000 revs upwards then goes when car cools down a bit but the temp warning light works good ??

2nd problem my high beem led light is very dim but works??

3rd problem rev counter needle just drops to 0 somtimes rarely but with a bang from the hand to the dash it somtimes cures it?

good hey  :|

any opinions people of earth? or simple cures?

i know how to take the clocks out and disamble it just not great with wires i have a current tester, the one that has a little bulb in it only

1. check high pressure oil switch in filter housing, and wire to it. make sure oil pressure is ok. might be related to 3 though
2. change the bulb
3. dash problem or loose connection on the plug to it, could be related to 1

how do i check the oil switch itself  , what faults am i looking for jonny man? does the wire run all the way up to the clocks? how can i test the wire?

switch is just an on/off switch so can check with a multimeter. wiring you could try earthing and leaving wire off see if that effects dash buzzer at all. wire runs from sender to fusebox, then fusebox to dash see the faq :)

bloddy hate car electrics thanks.

Took the clock apart and found a blown bulb for problem 2 well done!! do you know where i can get more from???  

I was in the middle of putting some tappets in today and found the the rocker cover i put in a month ago was two wide though the right one and had crumbled off all around the inside!!!!!!!!!!!  Jesus i said, so now im thinking the shit has cloged up the oil filter and is restricting oil flow and pressure!!!!!!!! i only put good oil in it october maybe i could strain it ????and just replace the filter ? I recon i might of sussed out problem 1 i dont know it seems very likley to me.

i stripped some mk2 clocks and pinched the bulb for mine, converted it from yellow to blue at the same time :)

you're going to have to have the sump off at least, if you're lucky those bits of gasket are in the pickup and no stuck in the engine somewhere :(
