1987 gti cabrio electrics non starter

hey im quite new to a mk1 i bought the car a month or so back as a project for my girlfriend it iv put a new battery on n tryed to start it the car turns over but theres no power to the fuel pump in the tank no ignition lights and the indicators and headlights swap n n change sides that they work each time i go back to it

ive taken all the fuses out and replaced them iv taken the earths of from behind the fuse box off and cleaned them up but still nothin i would be very grateful if any 1 could help ?

sounds liek the ign switch has failed, or it has some kind of immobiliser. take the ign swithc plug off and bridge the red wire to the black wire. if pump comes to life and ign lights come on the dash then you know its the ign switch. if not its a wiring fault, either with black or red wire from ign switch, or an immob fault
