16V TWIN 40 CONVERSION

HI! bare with me i'm new to this forum! Ive started to do a 16v twin 40 conversion on my v reg gti,ive done most of the mecanical,and running gear,i'm not sure about conecting up the distibutor?The gti is points operated with only one wire coming from the coil,where as the kr 16v is electronic,will i have to use the ECU,or make up a feed from the origanal loom.ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT!!!!

you will need the ecu from the 16v..
