16v ecu live

Right then does anyone know were a 16v mk2ecu gets it's live ,is it from the coil or does anyone know what colour wire it is and were it comes crom
any help would be great cheers ash

Really does not matter as long as it is switched power, that is it comes on while cranking and while in the run position. I would not use the coil for a source as I like my coil to not share any power with anything else, even if the control box does not draw much. I don't think they were even fused on all models, but an inline fuse could not hurt.

from the factory the ignition control unit & TCI-H get power from the coil +ve/15 side, black wire for the TCI and a white/black for the ignition control module.
 As above, doesnt matter where as long as its live with the ignition and when cranking, and it is not fused.

Cheers guys I've found the black wire and the black-white
and they do go to the coil but for the mean time I'll run it to a live just to make sure cheers for the help guys
