"creamy hood oil" question
hey guys my hood got stuck down a few weeks ago and i had to do the "emergency manual closure".
that all went fine and when i got a chance i checked the oil level and bled it as shown below. all ok.
my question is this….
my oil looks perfect in colour and level when the hood hasnt been moved for say ten mins, i lower or raise it and look in the pump reservoir and the oil is creamy looking and there is more of it. let it settle and it goes back to normal.
my guess is that its getting air into it somewhere, but the hood goes up and down ok, its a little slower going up than when we got it too. can anyone shed any light or had it happen to them?

you must have a leak somewhere, maybe thats why it became stuck down prior to changing the oil.A visual check when opening and closing is the obvious answer.
Failing that ,using your manual for guidance, disconnect the hydraulic unit including all pipes a inspect it including any seals which have most likely perished.
