Driveshafts for 1.6D with Mk2 5spd Gearbox
Hi there,
I'm nearly finished transferring a 1.6D with a Mk2 5spd gearbox into my Mk1 shell (previously 1.1/1.3 petrol).
I'm just wondering about what driveshafts I'll need?
The drivers side (longer one) is ok but the shorter one is too long.
Would the ones from a 1.6D with mk1 5spd box be suitable?

Thanks in advance for any advice,

I assume the 'box you've picked up has 90mm flanges, in which case Mk1 big block driveshaft should fit.

I cant be sure to be honest, the flanges the same diameter as the 1.3 driveshafts that were on my car already, its just the lengths that are wrong.
I'll take the shafts off a 1.6D Mk1 tomorrow and see how that goes.

yeah there 90mm then the diesel ones should be fine, unless they've been upgraded.
