Clipper Karmann Badges - What Colour?

Post

Down at Dubfreeze the other week i managed to pick up another Karmann badge for the bottom of the wing. Speaking to the guy he mentioned the lettering should be white? is this correct? the one left on the car had just turned black all over. I would have done the letters silver, but im not sure if they should be now.

Any ideas guys?

Cheers

Tom :)

Mines all black and could do with a refurb, any tips on what you used and how you did it .

Give chortle a message on here and he sells the stickers.

Then simply clean your badges off and then spray them black.

Then apply the stickers which come on an easy to use backing tape.

Then 3 or 4 coats of clear lacquer.

Jobs a good in :-)

He also does full gel Karmann stickers for complete replacement.

I used a paint pen like this then no masking or spraying, just make sure you get a chisel point. Theres loads on ebay and art shops.

Well i did the badges on the boot by doing them all silver then putting grease on the tops. I dont think thatd work on the Karmann ones, they letters arnt raised enough. I'll give it a go with a brush, and try a pen if it look horrendous
