What is your engine code? This is a list of standard cam profiles
In order of how good the inlet cam is.

If its a mk1 Golf engine then it's a GF code, in which case you already have the best factory cam available.
Aftermarket high lift cams are only really available to order from companies like Dbilas in Germany and they are stupidly expensive. Regal Autosport in Southampton are agents for Dbilas so you could order one through them.
P.S. they are about £400
