Just fit a manual one mate, you can tweak it to what you want then :-)

Cheers for the link funk but do I really need the adjustability? Wanted something to fit and forget about really.

Will it go straight on MK1 brake pipework? How much?

You fit it. Set the brakes on the rollers and then forget.

You can just get in-line adjusters, if you don't want something in the cabin.

Not sure RE: the pipework fella, I just unbolted it from a mk2, chopped all the pipes off.

I'm sure there must be a conversion guide on here somewhere, or a build thread with some pics in.

Not after much, its rusty and wants a good clean down on a workbench. 25 dukes?

I wanted it for OEM+ touch to the brakes, as it's a mis-match of vw stuff, but just going to fit an in-line as for me it's easier to plumb

The reason you fit a vw one is the spring means when you load up the rear of the car, the braking force increases, rather than guessing what it should be on a dial, or having a fit and forget one size fits all solution.
