gearbox

my 1985 cc with dx engine has developed a whining from the gearbox which although sounds like i have a supercharger i doubt it will end well.
atm the box is a 'montego variant' & speedo is well out.
i thought easiest solution would be replacement…
need to be located south of england

Are you able to supply the gearbox code? , I have a 5 speed gearbox FM based in Romsey, Hants. Alternatively you could get your reconditioned, circa £400 nr Salisbury, Wilts. .
