Hi I’m in need of a rust free bootlid for a cabrio, ideally in white, but anything within 60miles of Luton area or if you’re prepared to ship would be great, thanks

Thankyou Kenneth.
I really want a rust free one. It seems like they all rust through on the bottom corners.
That's what has happened to my existing one - i could do a welding job on it but it would save a load of work if i could find another one without the rust,
i am going to have the whole car re-painted anyway
so
If the bubbles you say about are not because of rust holes then yes, that would be fine - sorry to be a pain, but are you able to upload any images of the bubbles?

Cabrio boot lid wanted
Thanks Kenneth.
I am really needing a boot lid now if anyone can help?
I’m done with welding and moving on to body repair tomorrow, and I really don’t fancy getting my welder back out to sort my boot lid out.,,, but looks like I might have to

Hi Andrew
chap on eBay has 2 for sale, a white not so good option or item number 163769038898 looks decent but is strong money but if you need a rust free version this may be worth a look.
Hope this helps if you hadn’t looked there already

Hey Neil!
Thanks for that….
I have seen the pricey one - I'm happy to pay over the odds because I really need one now, but that's a ridiculous price… is that what they mean by "scene tax"?
The other one is rotten like the one I have, I may as well repair mine!
How's your Cabrio been?

No problem, agree, some prices have gone sky high recently which is a shame, so many people don’t do research on market prices to ensure they sell their items.
my cabby has been overhauled quite a bit since lockdown, all new Bilstein/Eibach suspension inc wishbones, fully poly bushed, new clutch and seals for gearbox, 421 manifold and full Miltek system and loads of other small mechanical improvements which have made it a joy to drive and hopefully I’ll now use it more often, just a shame no shows to take it too!
good luck with the tailgate hunt!
