over 2 years of looking now, please help!
I noticed more than 2 years ago that the metal pipe from the water pump to the thermostat housing in my 1.3 mk1 was rotting inside. Having been messed about by several people and even paid for a pipe that didn't turn up my original finally split a few weeks ago, leaving the car stranded at a (very understanding) friend's house.
Does anyone have one, or know of a place that can fabricate one for a reasonable cost without the a part to copy from? The car is currently 3 hours from my house and I would rather the next trip I make to it be the one to fix it and drive it back.

Sadly, no picture of the actual item as the car's 3 hours away at present. However, from memory it's this chap:

I did have 1 lying around but may have scrapped it, i'm sure if you really can't find one i could modify one from a polo

I can make one in stainless if you like It'll outlast the rest of the car!

Thank you both for your help. I think I've found someone with one so fingers crossed it'll come through - Ollie, don't bother digging through everything for the time being but the offer's much appreciated.
Phataz - it certainly will, save the exhaust! How much would you want for such a creature, and would you need a template? I'd be interested in the medium-term, certainly.

I've done them for polos (same but without the 90deg bend) in the past and asked £50 so I'm happy to accept that. I have the pipe off my old mk1 engine and have jigged it up to allow me to copy it in stainless, so there are no worries there
