Hi, I have a 1981 golf gti, mars red, project for sale. I bought the car from Thornaby about 18 months ago, but I've just had enough.

I have replaced the rear chassis legs, both sills, rear arches and corners, along with the roof skin and rear panel. I have put loads of work inti it, I just can't bring myself to finish the front end, namely front panel, scuttle and both inner wings. I have a front panel, inner wings, full scuttle panel to complete it, that can come with the car, plus a passenger side wing.

I don't have the injection system anymore, I was intending on putting bike carbs on, the engine has run, which I checked before buying it. There is no interior, except the dash. There is the petrol tank and standard pump.

This conversion was done in 2002 by Autoscan, Norton. The car has stood for a few years prior to me buying it.

It is a rolling shell, it has bigger calipers, the corrado brake servo, larger 100mm drive shafts, but I have no idea what gearbox is in. The majority of the car is stripped for resto. Comes with doors, boot lid and bonnet, dash and a few boxes of things.
