Description: For sale is my Mk1 GLS, which I believe is one of the nicest original examples around. I have owned this car for the last 4 years, during which it has been completely reliable and an all round brilliant car which runs and drives just as it should as it is 'just run in', having covered an average of less than 2500 miles a year. It flew through the MoT a couple of weeks ago with no advisories and runs brilliantly, just as it left the factory.

The bodywork is very good, with the original light green metallic paintwork really bringing out the car's lines. As one might expect from a 33 year old paint job, there is some fading and some small scratches, though these add to the character of the car and set it apart from everything else on the road. The usual trouble spots of the rear of the arches, the sills, fuel filler, and the front and rear panels are all in great condition, and I have the car booked in to repair a very small area below the boot lock before it becomes a problem. The car has been stored inside for a good deal of its life, and this clearly shows in the condition of the bodywork.

Likewise, the interior is nearly perfect, and completely original (if you don't want the stereo, I have the original factory blanking plate), with just some small defects to the glovebox lid. The seats, door cards, dash, carpets, headliner, etc. etc. are all completely original, with no rips or tears and showing no sign of wear.

The car is available to view near Newquay, and I'm happy to answer any and all questions you might have about it. Tin top Golfs in original unrestored (and unmodified) condition are, as you all know, getting rarer, and this is a really good example. I am looking for £3000, but I am open to any sensible offers and can supply further pictures or any other information you might require on request.
