Description: This advert is for the sale of my Volkswagen Golf GTi cabriolet that I originally purchased last year as a project. I have lovingly restored it as best I can and given how much time I spend abroad, it is now time to pass it on to someone who will be able to add the final touches. The car is in very good overall internal/internal condition with a strong engine and gearbox. It is MOT'ed until 19 June 2016. I have repaired or fixed all of the obvious problems areas with rust.  In the time I have owned it, I have also carried out the following:

- New mohair roof
- New alternator
- New battery
- Replaced and painted tailgate
- Repaired rusting and scratches/dents to all four wings and wheel arches
- Exchanged and fitted dashboard, knee roll and instrument surround
- Replaced new side sills
- Fitted new duckbill front spoiler
- Fitted new side indicators and rear light cluster
- New distributor cap and rotor
- New spark plugs
- Fitted missing door speaker pocket
- Tightened gear changes
- Aligned steering wheel
- Changed oil regularly
- Cleaned and valeted interior and exterior

In my view, in order to make the car close to perfect, the following would be required:
- New bulbs in instrument panel
- New seat covers
- Fitting of stereo (which I can provide with the car)
- Changing speakers
- Tidying wiring in tailgate area
