Where do you buy good quality parts?

Post

Hi.

IŽm about to replace the rear wheel bearings and stub axles on my 81 GTI.
I want to get good quality parts, but there are loads of internet dealers, and prices vary.
IŽve checked out ebay, Mecatechnic, vvwheritage +++, and they all seem to sell parts made by different companies and at different prices.
What part brands to look for, and where to get the parts?

thanks

Hi,
Ive been replacing parts on my 83 gti (and 1980 1.1 before that) and have always been happy with components from tierod99 and B&B components - both for general parts as you mention ( bushes, wishbones, stub axles etc ). Both sellers on Ebay. Quality seems good and a decent alternative to OEM parts and prices.
However this is just my opinion on parts I have had after a lot of internet shopping esp ' for parts that wear.
Other alternatives such as VW heritage and Crazy Quiffs I have used as well, but IMO the price is a little more but again the quality is very good.

Hope that helps.

Thanks guys. I think IŽll have to try vwheritage for this one. They have both the wheel bearings and the stub axle, and they ship to Norway. AVS doesnŽt ship outside UK :(
