back on the road by summer

Hi guys, its been a long time since posting on the these sites, I have had my golf for over 20 years and now its time to get her back to her former glory.  So far I have acquired suspension and bushes, wheels and tyres.  The car was causing me electrical problems, starting, battery not holding charge, park light on even though car was switched of totally, just the usual niggley things that you would expect with a car that's been off the road for 11 years.  Anyway as a result of these issues I decided to install a very polo loom, currently being fitted, well impressed with lighting etc, all dials and buttons lighting up that I have never seen before, car starts on the button, the work is being undertaken by a qualified electrician, who I have since persuaded tonfit alarm and central locking whilst everything is out.  This brings me to my next question, I am almost there but he would like to change my speedo clock as the plugs and wiring behind are shot, does anyone have these clocks for sale or recommending an alternative fitment?.

You should be able to get another set of clock second hand but there are no guarantee they are better than the ones you have

Glad your getting it back on the road

Mark funk-star may be able to help you with a second hand set.

Glad you're getting it back to life, any pics for us to see of how it stands?

Hi guys car is now back on the road, only problem now is she splutters when driving and hard to start, I have been adjusting the co2 but no luck. I think the reality is I have rust in my tank and in the fuel system. Because the car has been sitting for 11 years I think it maybe best to change some fueling components.  I am thinking of ordering, new injectors , injector seals, fuel accumulator, fuel filter and fuel tank, is there anything else I should change, and what preferred brand, outputs, upgrades I should be thinking about if getting the whole thing done.  Your opinions are very important as I would like to get ordering from vw heritage asap.

Cheers
