Thinking of going bigger.

Iv got a driver and am thinking of putting a 1.8 16v kr in. can anyone give me advice or help to help me on my way,

yep. buy a gti and let someone else have your driver.
they are becoming harder and harder to find in small block and it's making young drivers lives harder. which i'm sure you can appreicate if you have a driver already.

Thanks, ill have to test the water and see what i can get for it and then what i can get for that money.  

Get all the bits you need for the conversion before you start.
I  ended up with a car sat on my drive for ages with no engine in it while i waited for parts.
