I have some white Avus wheels or know as Snowflakes which are need of a refurb anyone recommend a good place in the Somerset area?
Not sure whether to go all white (the cheaper option) or white and diamond cut as that's now they are at the moment, my car is a daily drive which is used all year round so is it best to change the wheels in the winter to some others, I'm driving around on some Monteral or "bottle tops" which are easy to clean.
What are your thoughts?

Yes my p slots were done there, but They didn't have p slot silver and cant do the black slots, so there sprayed over in the right colour's. But I've had friends use them and they've always been happy with the results.

i got to have mine done at some point (1 of the last things i need to do - got seals/rubbers to renew 1st), if you could let me know what they charge that would be appreciated (got a place in Bridgend SW - Renowheel they're called - approx price for the 4 wheels diamond cut about £360 which is the cheapest quote i've had - good finish as well apparently) Wheel Specialist want £175 per wheel!! i nearly @h17 myself when they said!!! Could buy them from the states for that brand new i think

Keep reporting back on this , I have my cars original set which I would like bringing back to new state but have also thought about all silver or all white.
Seems like an intricate wheel to get refrubished

Thanks for post, I now feel all silver will be better than white but original will be best.

call me picky, fussy, whatever… looked at those rims on ebay & i think they've just been given a going over with a jippy can!!!the bumps/scrapes on the outers have been simply painted over - also don't think the Avus/Snowflake were ever done in plain/all white… always diamond cut with the chrome outers….

You are right the Avus wheels was painted inners and diamond cut faces even on the Mk2 Scirocco. Its a lot cheaper and easier to have them all white (or what ever colour you like) and you don't have the problem of corrosion under the lacquer on the diamond cut face if it gets chipped.
