Series 2 with small bumpers

Hi all,

Just wondered what are everyones views on series 2s with small bumpers.

When i first got my car i couldnt wait to get some small bumpers, but i have grown to love my big bumpers

If anyone has pictures of theirs please post

Just nipping to the shed for my pitchfork…  

I prefer big bumpers. Even on my early gti. 
Many see the fascination with small bumpers. 

I like them if done properly so you can't see the old mountings on the wings for the bigger bumpers, especially if in all black on a white or red car.

each to their own, i think it looks nice but they suit the s1 rear much more.

YEs i agree, i think the front end looks cool with the small bumper which is why i wanted them to begin with, but like you said the rear just suits s1s so much more

I had planned to do the small bumpers on my 83 but I decided to keep it how it would of been produced.

I do however love the look of small bumpers and no arch trims  

I prefer the small bumpers and probably wont be running arch trims. Just going to run small arch spats which will be glued rather than drilled/fixed. Every bit of plastic trim is a rot magnet in my opinion

I like the small ones two on my car, don't think that the the big ones looks nice with my colour.

I don't like big tail lights with small bumpers, doesn't look right.

Wrong but I can see why people do as pattern plastic bumpers are rubbish. !

this is spot on..

the front end looks better with small bumpers, the back (of an s2) looks better with bigger bumpers…
