re-painting the fabric on the roof to different colour? dye or something. is it possible?

Is it possible to dye the roof a different colour on a mk1 convertible? if yes who does it?? thanks

I don't recall ever hearing of someone doing that and I'm not saying it can't be done.
But wouldn't be far easier to buy a new roof in the colour you want and just fit it?

Seems to me if your going to all that trouble by removing it  if the first place you might as well have a brand new one and be done with it!  :thumbs:
