I have a set of bbs rm 15x6.5 et33 and I need tyres for them. I want fairly low profile but not crazy stretched.
After much research it seems I need to get something like 165/50, 175/50 but only Nankang seem to offer those kind of sizes.
When reading other posts there seem to be people that think you'll be in a ditch as soon as you go round the first corner, but others think they're OK.
So to anyone that has actually had them on their car, what are they like?
Or can anyone suggest alternatives in those sizes? Bridgestone Potenza seemed to be popular but they don't seem to make them in those sizes anymore.
Thanks
Steve

I've had loads and loads of sets… would I trust them on an Audi R8, absolutely not. On a front wheel drive 110 odd bhp car, they're fine.
I even had a set on my 2.0 turbo 280bhp mk2, 165/40's. It gripped and drove fine, would I chuck it full pelt into a tight bend in the wet? Hell no… but I don't drive like an idiot.
The 'ditch finder' name they got was very much linked to the early generations of their tyres, I find them perfectly fine and very affordable.

Nankang are fine unless you drive like a nugget.

Same for me .. Had them on my 200bhp 480nm tdi mk2 185/35/17 … worked fine in dry , horrible in wet conditions

Again if you want to drive hard hard, maybe have a think, but as a normal drivers tyre, they're fine.

I ran 165/40 16 nankang on a 7.5" and as said in the dry, they were fine on my 280bhp mk2.
