Hello and welcome to the club,
Help and advice is here for you just ask in the relevant sections.
Don't forget our AGM in Uttoxeter details can be found on the home page, it's a great way to get to meet others and maybe answers to your questions and more.
Cheers Dave.
Ok thank you but I could not see a help and advice section so I thought general chat would do???

Not forgetting the huge savings and benefits of being a paid member too !!!
I also have a Nissan 300zx. I'm a paid member to that site so I know what you can get out of a site like this. Just want to see what sort of activity there is before I pay.
I'm also a un paid member to GSXR owners club. Not much happens on that site.
If I get a fair response to the above post I would be tempted to pay the fee.

they are just a company that assembled the golf cabriolet for VW (along with a few other cars)
The Mk1 Cabriolet is of unibody construction built entirely at the factory of Karmann, from stamping to final assembly; Volkswagen supplied the engine, suspension, interior, etc. for Karmann to install.
It wont be any different to any other MK1 GOlf Cabby of the age (except for trim/spec )

Welcome to the mad house Lee!
If you see a post from this member chortle take a look at his signature below the comment he's made.
You will see some B&W photos a fast moving clip of the Cabby's being assembled at the Karmann plant in Osnabrück, Germany.
If you've not heard of them, your in for a bit of a shock!

Mine has cream leather (see project thread below). Not sure if it was standard or not though.
