Is my sportline sat right?

Post

Hi all. So ever since I have had my sportline about 6 weeks the back looks to sit a bit low and the front a bit high. Im thinking about changing the shocks and springs for the bilsten/eibach package but dont want it to be too low either.

So my questions are.
1. Is my sportline sat correct or have the rear springs sagged as dropping it further on the rear I think will look odd.
2. The bilsten/eibach kit says it drops the car 30-40mm but given I have a GTI is mine already 15mm lowever anyway so I would in effect get a further 15-25mm worth of drop?

I dont want to throw money away if its not going to make a differance or in fact worse if too low on rear as there is lots I want to do to the car. 20180813_091810.jpg 20180813_091803.jpg 20180813_091754.jpg

Ok so not many takers… some more info the feont of my cabby sits 30mm higher than the rear when measured from centre of wheel to arch. Does anyone know what the correct measurements should be as my worry is I need new shocks and springs as mine feel shot… was going to go for the bilsten/eibach comb however it drops the front and rear 30mm which is good for the front bit would say the rear is already low enough. So trying to understand if rear has sagged before buying and fitting suspension to just find out rear is too low.

Would go coilover route but cant seem to find any consistantly good reviews for the £400 mark.

It looks fine to me, as that is about the stock height.

There is a rubber bush on top of the rear strut which go flat over time, have a look at them, you will need to drop the strut down to see how they look.

Part 9 and 8 are the bushes but part 9 takes all the weight.

You forgot the part about needing a SAWZall to remove the lower bolt if he hasn't mummified the bolts to prevent them from Seizing in the lower bushing mount bushing.

How I do it.
