In for MOT today!

Just taken my car for its MOT today, Its been sitting since mayand the cold has killed the battery so got a new one a fired it up :) Only thing is thatIthink there might be a fuel injection problem as sometimes it cuts out now, hopefully nothing too bad. Lets just hope theres not too much wrong with it!

ok well it failed lol! But I knew it would, but considering itsbeen standing sincelast may its not too bad!

Failed on:

fog light not working (cause i took it off so I knew it wouldnt work lol) wiper blades
washers not working fully, prob just empty bottle or the jets clogged
steering rack gaiter
exhaust leaking where the after market exhaust has been fitted
Brakes on near side grabbing badly, so new discs and pads, assuming the caliper isnt seized.
Drivers seat insecure, needs a bolt tightening

And thats it! Been quoted ?225 for everything, discs aswell etc. You think thats a reasonable price?  :)

Doesn't sound too bad to me considering labour costs etc.

Sounds a bit much really to me, most of that stuff is pretty basic work, maybe I'm just a tight wad though.

Yea most of those are easy DIY-able but depends if you work and don't have a garage you'll end up cold and wet and miserable doing it in the dark by the side of the road.

The trouble with doing nothing is that you never know when you are finished.

well I am mechanically minded as used to work in a garage but I wouldnt have the tools to do the jobs myself! I didnt think it was too bad really.

I think the price is a little high but not to bad, considering the way the weather has been i think i'd sooner pay a little extra not to be in the freezin cold. Fingers crossed your calipers are ok.
