Recently purchased my Golf clipper from Devon…I'm in Cambridgeshire! Got half way home and realised I'd left the service history folder there!!

Luckily they posted it to me, I don't think ice ever had a car with such a comprehensive history! Turns out the car was actually registered in 1993 not 1992!

Also I'm not sure if the convertible brochure I have is an original? It says it was printed in 1992 so it may well be

Looks like an original to me. I think there is s post on here that lets you decide the date it was made prior to registration from you VIN plate. It's possible your car is 1992 manufacture but registered 1993.

I think it's correct.

Now if you go to Cabby-info Home
Somewhere is a formula for you to work out exactly when your VW rolled off the production line.

You will be able to work out the following all from the VIN.
Year, month, week, day and the total production run at that point in the week.

So mine for example is:
1990, May, week 3, Thursday and at that point was the 175th that week to be produced.

Hope it helps somewhat.

You can ask the DVLA what it holds on the car by using form V888.
