Handirack roof rack fitting to Cabby?!
Just bought a Handirack inflatable roof rack. Was wondering whetehr could use to carry bulky but light-ish weight items on the cabby. Manufacturers say not suitable for Cabrios. It will fit and secure well. I think it is a weight issue they are thinking about.
Anyone tried it or reckon a roof would be OK supporting lightweight stuff like tent 'cloth' components or soft bags of clothes ( I have the Handirack Handiholdall fabric roofbox to go with it…holds 280 litres.

i have just used one of these inflatable racks on my tin top for the first time today, i was carrying two kayaks on top, so less than 40kg.
the noise that came from the roof denting and poping back out again was terrible! every little bump, the parts of the roof with the inflatable bits across were pushed completely flat, luckily all the dents poped back out as soon as i have taken them off.
my point is if it was this bad on a tintop i highly doubt you would be able to use it on a cabrio.
i will definatly be giving the inflatable rack back and never using it again on my mk1
