Hi there
I have had a knocking noise at the back of my car under breaking and turning right but i have just had the MOT done and all they found was play in a rear wheel bearing which only needed adjusting but the knocking is still there. I presume it is nothing dangerous or it would not have passed the mot would it? Any ideas? PLEASE

have a look at the handbrake cable , check for any signs of wear , have known these to move about and rub against the wheel

Again check hand brake cable fastened down. Wheel loose but would have thought MOT would have spotted that. Anything loose in spare wheel well or boot?

Rattles and bangs underneath on a moving car are difficult to diagnose. On my GTI I had a hand brake cable catching on a balance weight and twanging on the rear floor pan. I would have put my house on the noise coming from the front bulkhead  8O . So it could still be the exhaust. Quite easy to double check as you can grab tailpipe and give it a good tug
