Any New Years resolution plans for your Mk1?

Happy new year to you all.

Thought I would start the first of our forum posts this year a question about what your new year resolution plans are for your Mk1.

Mine is to take it to a few more general classic car shows rather than just the VW regulars. did a few last year, especially some events in town centres which were amazing, seeing the reactions of people who just haven't seen a Mk1 up close for years, we forget how rare our cars are outside of the VW scene.

My aim when it comes out of hibernation in April is this.
Not to have idiots smacking into mine for no reason whatsoever!

Three times last year alone.

1st was hard parking damage D/S which cost the other drivers insurance company £2,500

2nd was a woman who pulled out of a side road and told me and the Police she didn't see the give way sign or me. The car is white with a red roof for God sake and that cost another £2,700!

3rd was shopping trolley damage which cost me £350!

So that's my new years resolution.
