Right I need some true enthusiast/geek info.

I have a Helios blue cabrio.  Nothing special I hear you say.  However, it is a GTI…. Still probably nothing special but…

I'm told a blue gti cabby is "rare"… I'm not convinced but I haven't seen another recently.  So if rare… How rare?
I recently had someone try to pull my arm off for it… Looking for a bargain probably but it does raise an eyebrow when these things happen.
Am I sitting on a little treasure that I should show more love, or spend more hard earned on??
have undervalued the old girl in some way!?

I'd be interested to hear some thoughts.

What year is it?  If it's 87/88 and small bumper then they only did four colours red, white, saphire and Helios.  Probably doesn't make much difference to value which colour you have -just my opinion but I think the small bumper (ie pre-body kit) will start to rise in priice more than the later style.

thinking about ot you dont see to many. but just because something is "rare" doesnt mean its worth mega bucks.

I should point out I don't think it's worth any more, and I'm not pricing up with a view to making money, just intrigued.
It would appear it's not as rare as has been suggested…. Cheers for the replies
